Scope & Key Components
Reytec’s work included the construction of an 880-linear-foot, 60-inch sanitary sewer microtunnel supported by substantial excavation and structural work. Key elements included:
- A 36-foot diameter launch shaft excavated to a depth of 50 feet
- A 14-foot diameter retrieval shaft extending to 55 feet
- 85 linear feet of hand tunneling to connect the new line to the existing lift station wet well
- Installation of a 12-foot diameter polymer manhole with a 24-inch vortex drop structure to improve hydraulic efficiency and reduce turbulence
